Description: BUCKHEAD. This landmark Atlanta dining spot sets the standard for luxury dining in the city. The creative American-Continental cuisine is among the best in the country, and the posh gilt-and-velvet setting makes the restaurant an ideal locale for a celebration dinner, special occasion or first-class business dinner. Try Dover sole with kippers and brown butter or battered lobster tails with Chinese honey mustard, and finish with Kahlua ice cream pie in an Oreo crust. Perfect service and an excellent wine list. Reservations highly recommended.

From the outside it definitely doesn't seem all that special, situated in a grocery store parking lot next to a furniture boutique and no valet parking. When you step inside you are indeed transported somewhere else in time. I believe the effect is an opulent Russian restaurant, but it doesn't matter. Red velvet covers the furniture near the bar, beautiful antique crystal chandeliers hang over the bar tables that form cozy accommodations while they prepare your table. The food is outstanding. Most people tell you to try the fried lobster and they are correct, it is the best. What a wonderful atmosphere for any celebration!
