Description: On the Rise is a basic bakery that specializes in European-style bread. The exposed brick wall interior is decorated by black and white pictures, adding a touch of Europe to the place. At various times throughout the day, different breads -rosemary sourdough, olive sourdough, Russian rye, Jewish Rye, and Alexander roll – are served right out of the oven. Subs and pizza are available at lunch. On the Rise is located in Roanoke's popular Market Street area.
