Description:
|
Located in downtown, the Science Museum of Western Virginia is an excellent place for families to spend an afternoon exploring the mysteries of science. The hands-on, interactive exhibits include a Chesapeake Bay touch tank, circulatory system models, and fiber optics displays. Discover how a tornado develops in the weather gallery, as well as trying your hand at being a television weather forecaster. At the MegaDome Theatre, guests can explore the galaxy or swim with whales while watching a film projected on a forty-foot dome. There is also a planetarium on-site. The Launch Pad Museum Shop is a good place to buy educational and fun gifts. |
