SUGARHOUSE. Despite its rather mundane location in a busy strip mall, Sampan enjoys a loyal customer base. From traditional Chinese pot-stickers and Mongolian Beef to orange chicken and sweet 'n' sour shrimp, Sampan offers a wide variety of Shanghai and Szechwan entrees. Eschew the tasty combination platters, however, and go for one the chef's recommendations like Strawberry or Princess Chicken, Dragon and Phoenix (shrimp and chicken), or the Seafood Triple Delight (shrimp, scallop, and squid) – all of them served with fresh vegetable sides. |
