GRANT PARK. Visitors to the Atlanta Cyclorama are transported to July of 1864 and the Battle of Atlanta. Seated on a revolving platform, viewers almost become part of the battle as sound and lighting effects, along with narration, bring the scene to life. The painting is 42 feet high and covers the walls of a circular room over 110 feet in diameter. The Civil War exhibits in the museum include the historic locomotive "Texas." Gift shop on site. |
