| |
Description:
Before the Big Daddy of golf tournaments, the pros take two days for what is affectionately known as "practice rounds." What these two days have evolved into over the past few years is a relaxed, amiable event that allows golf fans to exchange banter with the likes of Greg Norman, Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, Hal Sutton, and more. Sharpies are readily available, as the fans collect players' autographs on whatever is available: shirts, bits of paper, hats, and even skin! |

Masters Tournament |

(Events - Best of the City) |
April 6 - April 12, 2009 2604 Washington Rd Augusta National Golf Club, Augusta 30904 706-667-6000 |
 |
| |
Description:
The first weekend in April throws Augusta into the global spotlight, with the best golfers from around the world competing for the coveted green jacket of the Masters. First held in 1934 and continuing today as the premier golf tournament, Augusta National rivals the likes of St. Andrews, Scotland. The only color to rival the vivid pinks, reds, and lavender azaleas is the silhouette of a dapper green blazer on the shoulders of a new champion. Hopefully, you may know someone who is connected, as the waiting list for tickets is as long as a Georgia mile. |
