309 W Congress St, Savannah 31401 912-233-6266 |

Description:

The menu boasts creative American flair and adds in a few Southern dishes to good effect. |
202 W Bay St, Savannah 31401 912-234-6686 |
 |
| |
Description:
HISTORIC DISTRICT. This reputable restaurant occupies a historic 18th-century stone warehouse and offers a beautiful view of the Savannah River. It does offer exemplary steaks, including a succulent prime rib, but Chart House specializes in seafood. Among its popular options are macadamia-crusted mahi mahi, coconut crunchy shrimp, and pan-seared sea scallops. Crab legs and lobster tail are also constant hits. For dessert, the famous mud pie is a can't-miss, and an ample selection of wines and whiskey adds to the appeal. |

Johnny Harris Restaurant |
|
(Restaurants - American) |
|
1651 E Victory Dr, Savannah 912-354-7810 |
 |
| |
Description:
WEST CHATHAM. Open since 1924, this local standby is known for its friendly, old-fashioned style and homestyle fare. Filet mignon, veal Oscar, and prime rib make delicious appearances, but Southern-style numbers really raise eyebrows. Succulent barbecued ribs and crispy fried chicken are among the headliners, and the kitchen even sees fit to toss in fresh seafood dishes, like the legendary crabmeat au gratin. The classy main dining room opens in the evening, but more casual "kitchen" seating is available throughout the day. |

Pirate's House |
|
(Restaurants - American) |
|
20 E Broad St, Savannah 31401 912-233-5757 |
 |
| |
Description:
HISTORIC DISTRICT. With a tradition of hospitality dating back to 1753, this establishment did, indeed, cater to seamen early on. These days, it's got a more sedate clientele, and they're more inclined to gluttony than to marauding. Locals frequently recommend the highly rated restaurant, and its 15 different dining rooms can handle a host of patrons. The menu specializes in seafood (everything from a stomach-sating seafood platter to grouper Florentine), and there's a terrific, reasonably-priced Southern lunch buffet as well from 11am till 3pm. Fabulous desserts round out a great meal. |
