601 Fork Shoals Rd, Greenville 29605 864-380-5233 |
 |
| |
Description:
Within an area that was at the heart of Greenville's early industrial life, this park occupies land that was formerly beneath a 130-acre lake and that now is bottomland forests and wetlands. Reclaimed from once-polluted terrain, the park is a quiet haven for wildlife, including birds, deer, and beaver. Its earthen paths and boardwalks invite hiking and observing, and in time, the park's paths will be linked to other county trails and facilities to create a more wide-ranging and integrated nature and recreational complex. |
