        Description: Accessible by several small paths, this park features Argo Pond, flanked by foot trails that wind through lush willow and oak trees to the canoe livery off Longshore Drive. Rare species of birds have been sighted in the grassy areas. The trail wanders beneath a railroad bridge and follows the millrace to Detroit Edison's old brick power plants near the Broadway Bridge.

        Description: Located on the University of Michigan campus, this spacious indoor conservatory is divided into three sections, each of which represents a different climate. One features tropical plants, including orchids, bromeliads, and birds native to Michigan. Plants from warm-temperate climates grow in a central greenhouse, along with a display of insectivorous plants. Desert plants and cacti occupy the third section. Nature trails, woodlands, wetlands, ponds, prairie grasses, and garden sculptures fill the grounds.
