This Church Avenue gem is a throwback to the 1950s, including several signs hanging about that let you know the staff is in charge here. The red-and-white dining area is a little cramped, mostly with men; however, as the sign outside announces, "Yes, women are welcome!" The food is your typical greasy spoon fare, and the Texas Tavern is popular as a late night or early morning dinner/breakfast joint. |
