Description:
Get ready for the ride of your life! The numerous classic vehicles exhibited in this popular museum will transport you to a time when the TV show "Happy Days" depicted modern times. Cars on display will take you back as early as 1904 and as recent as 1981. A 1907 Renault limousine, a 1922 Holmes coupe (one of only 500 ever made), a 1963 Amphicar and a 1926 Dodge are among the collection of 35 antique and classic automobiles. Never fear, if you're not an automobile aficionado, there is also a fascinating collection of toys, garments and paraphernalia indicative of the early 1900s. |

Description:

Housed in the Renkert-Belden home, a structure that is included on the National Register of Historic Places, this museum honors the great talents of local amateur athletes – many of whom went on to establish national and international recognition. There are thirteen different sports groups featured here, including baseball, bowling, wrestling and swimming. This museum provides fascinating insight into the history of sports, and it offers many interesting stories about famous athletes before they reached their acclaimed status. A tour of this establishment is an excellent idea for a family outing, even if all members of the family aren't sports fanatics. |

Description:
Housed in a Victorian farmhouse that was once the dwelling of the founder of the Hoover Company, this one-of -a-kind museum is dedicated to the advancements of the vacuum cleaner, the man behind this household masterpiece and numerous other inventions from the same industrious man. Exhibits included in this establishment feature items that Hoover invented during WWII (like helmets and helmet linings), examples of the manual Kotten suction vacuum (where the vacuum operator had to stand on the machine and rock to get it to suction) and modern-day Hoover products like the Self-Propelled WindTunnel upright. Additional attractions found here include beautifully manicured gardens, frequent special events and a gift shop. Reservations are requested for groups larger than 10 people. |

Description:
NORTH CANTON. This is the place for aircraft fanatics. Appropriately situated near the Akron / Canton Regional Airport, this air museum is the place where numerous types of aircraft are repaired. Inside, the museum contains planes and plane parts such as a half-frame model of the Wright Brother's plane, a MIG-17 plane with ejection seat, a T-28 Hangar and a Douglas SBD5 Daultless Dive Bomber. Helicopter rides and the Louise Timken Research Library (named after the first lady to ever fly a jet aircraft) are also available here. |

Description:
Housed in the former Stark Dry Goods building, this museum contains a number of interesting displays. Numerous temporary exhibits, such as works by artist Patricia Zinsmeister Parker, are often presented here. The permanent exhibits feature different aspects of history, including unique styles of chairs, historical mechanical devices, antique medical supplies and dresses that were worn in the early 20th century or by famous ladies of the past like Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. There is also a fascinating Immel Circus Display that includes photographs of people who actually did travel with the circus at one time. |

Description:
In memory of the 25th President of the United States, this imposing domed structure rests 108 steps high upon a hill. The dome structure's exterior is constructed of pink Milford granite. Stone surmounts the dome itself, and the crown is encircled with a laurel wreath made of bronze. Entombed in the memorial are President William McKinley, his wife Ida Saxton McKinley and their two children. Visitors to the attraction will enjoy the impressive building and the beauty of the 26-acres of surrounding land. Adjacent to this memorial stands the educational McKinley Museum. |

Many times one of the first questions asked by visitors to the Pro Football Hall of Fame is, "Why Canton?" The answer is this: in 1920, the National Football League (as the American Professional Football Association) was founded in the city of Canton, Ohio. In September of 1963, the Hall of Fame for professional football players was launched. Numerous eye-catching exhibits include the Hall of Heroes (displaying bronze busts of each Hall of Fame inductee), a call-the-play theater (where you can test your skills as coach) and a display holding memorabilia of the first century of professional football. One of the most unique features here is the Game Day Stadium, where visitors can experience the rigors and passion involved in the events that lead up to the most anticipated game of the year – beginning with training and ending with the Super Bowl Celebration. |
