        Description: ST-FAUSTIN-LAC CARRÉ. A favorite in the Mont-Tremblant area, the "Sugar Shack" is a great place for the entire family. Upon arriving, guests are greeted by the staff, dressed in full traditional costume. You're encouraged to take a tour of the grounds and learn about the Shack's old-fashioned method of making maple syrup products – from tapping the trees to toiling in the kettle room. Afterwards, you'll get to sit and enjoy a true feast that includes dish after dish of traditional Québecois favorites. On your way out, make sure to stop by the souvenir shop to pick up some maple-stuffs for the folks back home.

        Description: MONT-TREMBLANT RESORT VILLAGE. This attractive little cottage, almost an anachronism in this modern Resort Village, is actually one of Tremblant's oldest buildings. The quaintness of the exterior is echoed inside, where the rustic décor and comfortable furnishings give the place a homey feel. La Grappe's International menu has a Québec lilt, boasting such delicious dishes as pheasant pie, beef carpaccio, rabbit rivette with carrots, dill salmon with three sauces, and a brilliant grilled vegetable baguette. If it's nice out, ask to dine on the garden patio, where tables get ample shade from the trees flanking the house, providing a great setting for a late-afternoon bottle of wine or a few cocktails. Dinner reservations are suggested.

Featured à la carte entrées include the savory likes of medallions of caribou in Madère sauce, escalope of veal with sauce cream and sauté of chicken with maple sauce. A highly recommended prix fixe is also available, featuring such artistry as the chef's special game pie and Ragoût de pattes et boulletes (pig knuckle and meat balls). When Le Shack was being built, the owner enlisted the help of Yves Gagne and several local artists and historians in order to create an environment that celebrates the spirit of Québec's traditional cabane a sucres ("sugar shacks"). The result was a warm, inviting dining area whose rustic influences are unmistakable. This popular après-ski spot offers three meals daily. Start your day off right by enjoying their delicious breakfast buffet, stop by later for a quick burger, sandwich or pizza, and then head over again in the evening for a few drinks and a perusal of their irresistible à la carte dinner menu.
