Winterfest Boat Parade

        Description: Join 850,000 other spectators and experience the time-honored boat parade that takes place along the Intracoastal Waterway. A large festival precedes the big event, which happens to be the largest boat parade in the world. Interestingly, this 10-mile parade is the length of Fort Lauderdale by water. Private boats, showboats and yachts are decked to the hilt with hundreds of thousands of holiday lights, special effects and decorations. To ensure a good seat that offers great viewing of this spectacular event, call in advance and make a reservation at the designated observation area located at Birch Park.

Las Olas Art Fair

        Description: Over 300 regional and national artists participate in this popular annual event. This two-part fair is held in January and also in October.         Description: More than 25,000 visitors attend this popular annual event, always held the second weekend in Feb. Festivities include dancers, performers, and artisans from more than 100 tribes across the Americas. This festival showcases Seminole culture, with contests that put talent, archery, clothing, log peeling and fine arts- and crafts-making to the test. Events include Wyatt Earp gunfighters, Seminole ballet, rodeo, alligator wrestling, and a panther show.
