        Description: HUNTSVILLE. Decades ago, when Wernher Von Braun and his team of German rocket scientists arrived in Huntsville, they brought with them a love of classical music. Soon afterwards the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra was founded; it is Alabama's oldest continuously operating professional orchestra. Each year conductor Tavvo Virkhous leads the symphony in a six-concert classical series, three pops concerts, two holiday concerts, and a performance geared toward children.         Description: HUNTSVILLE. A dedicated staff makes the productions at this theater something special. The intimate space – seating only 85 – is located in the historic Lincoln Mill Village building. Originally constructed for the residents of the Lincoln Mill, the building housed a barbershop, beauty parlor, and a dry-goods store. Today, the theater stages productions written by local and regional playwrights. Call for shows, times, and ticket prices.
