Description:
The Cedar Falls Municipal Band is the oldest concert band in the state, and the outdoor band shell in Overman Park is the site of the free weekly concerts they present during the months of June and July. Forty-five musicians play crowd-pleasing tunes that most audience members will recognize. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the summer evening. |

Description:
These two annual festivals have been favorites since the late 1970s. The Sturgis Falls Celebration offers fun events at several venues including Island, Sturgis, and Tourist Parks, with a carnival, parade, street fair, and talent show. The Jazz Festival is centered at Sturgis Park, and features numerous regional and national performers. Plenty of food and beverage vendors offering everything from caramel apples, brats, and pizza to the Midwest's favorite junk food, the loose meat sandwich. |
