Territory Days Celebration

Pikes Peak International Auto Hill Climb

        Description: The "Race to the Clouds" is an annual automobile race on Pikes Peak, and the finish line is 14,110 feet above sea level. The first race up Pike’s Peak was held in 1916, and it has been testing automobile horsepower ever since. Although the race starts at 9:30am, the road is only open 4am-8am, so you must arrive very early. In addition, there is no way off the mountain once the race has started, so expect to stay until late afternoon or early evening. Pre-race events begin the last week in June.
