The city of Orlando's official marking of the holidays, the Orlando Citrus Parade also announces the arrival of the bowl season. The parade, which involves everybody from high school bands and dancers to familiar theme park characters and citrus-festooned floats, marches throughout downtown starting on Orange Avenue, running along South Street and ultimately ending up on N. Rosalind Avenue. More than 80,000 people annually catch it, so expect a big crowd and show up on time. |
