'Ohana
(Restaurants - American)
1600 Seven Seas Dr Disney's Polynesian Resort, Lake Buena Vista  32830 • 407-824-2000
Description: MAGIC KINGDOM ®. Aloha! An island ambience pervades this restaurant whose name means "family" in Hawaiian. Although prevalent, families aren't the only ones entertained by the festivities, which include group singing, coconut races and hula hoop competitions. A blazing fire pit provides a focal point and also turns out skewers of seafood, chicken and beef. All dishes are served family style, so folks can choose the foods and portions they like best. Steak and seafood take priority on the menu, but you'll also find stir-fried vegetables, noodles and salads. The meal is a production in itself and a lively, festive jaunt to Polynesia, Disney style. Their popular character breakfasts, hosted by Lilo and Stitch, are guaranteed fun for the entire family.

901 Timberline Dr Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Lake Buena Vista  32830 • 407-824-3200
Description: DISNEY'S WILDERNESS LODGE. Set amid the rustic stone and wood of a wilderness lodge, this restaurant looks out across a vista of meadow and water. Inspired by the Pacific Northwest, the menu takes its cues from seafood and game native to the region. Buffalo, venison and duck are prominent items, along with salmon prepared in a number of ways, including roasted on a cedar plank. Steak and elk are also available, along with sausages smoked on the premises. Desserts capitalize on berries and apples but include a flourless chocolate cake, too. The wine list, which features vintages from Oregon and Washington, is terrific, primarily because the wines are produced in small batches. Reservations recommended. Business dress.

Austins Coffee
(Restaurants - American)
929 W Fairbanks Ave, Winter Park  32789 • 407-975-3364
Description: WINTER PARK. The scene? Comfortable, mismatched sofas; organic, fair-trade coffees and teas; tight-jeaned, floppy-haired hipster followers; and, of course, local art on the walls. Go early so you can claim one of the couches and enjoy the quiet. At night, they often show independent movies, have local musicians perform, and turn into more of a raucous hangout.

B-Line Diner
(Restaurants - American)
9801 International Dr The Peabody Orlando, Orlando  32819 • 407-345-4460
Description: INTERNATIONAL DRIVE. Modeled after a 1950s-era diner, this fashionable establishment in one of Orlando's favorite hotels sports chrome trim and Formica-topped tables. Portions are substantial, and since the place is open day and night, you can order up something hearty no matter when you arrive. Breakfast is a perfect way to experience the B-Line, whether you opt for classics like bacon and eggs or something newfangled like stuffed French toast. A jukebox plays favorite tunes for patrons, and although the atmosphere is mid-century, the prices definitely belong to the 21st.

(Restaurants - American)
535 W New England Ave, Winter Park  32789 • 407-539-1711
Description: WINTER PARK. Consider this a hangout only if you have the willpower to avoid over-indulgence in pecan sandies, freshly baked croissants, and homemade chocolate chip cookies. It's very easy to slip into the vibe here, which is reminiscent of European sidewalk-café culture. After you order your double espresso at the counter, plug in and get back to work on that next great American novel.

7830 W Sand Lake Rd, Orlando  32819 • 407-355-7707
Description: Its interior a juxtaposition of lights and darks, accented with sleek metallic tones, Bonefish combats the backwoods stigma of seafood restaurants with its hip environs. Its strong popularity also gives credence to a tasty menu. Fish (you choose from several varieties) is cooked over a wood-fired grill; the smoky flavor is accented with mango-, garlic-, teriyaki and butter-tinged sauces. Mussels, rock shrimp, calamari and lobster also make appearances, and pastas, chicken, steaks, and pork round out the options. Desserts, like the deep dish key lime pie and macadamia nut brownie cake, are rich and plentiful. Waits can be common, so plan accordingly.
